West 4th

West 4th is watching. This is where ball becomes war. Where the Cage couldn’t contain Fly and Big Game dishes out as many stitches as dimes. Where tree branches double as box seats and elbows do all the trash talking. Where United BK waited 22 years for its championship redemption. Where respect is worn in a jersey. Where if you don’t bring your chair you’ll never get a seat.

The summer is here.
The city is watching.

The Cage, located in Manhattan’s Greenwich Village, has been home to the world of basketball. Simply known as West 4th, this is the first crib that a toddler named Smush would ever know, and the place professional players go to catch a good game. For true hoop fans, this is the greatest show out there. From the frigid winters, to the torrid summers, basketball never stops, as this game never sleeps.
