With the playoffs right around the corner, Kobe is torching the competition.
While LA’s fighting for the home-court advantage in the Western Conference Kobe is leading the way game after game. His phenomenal past week moved Los Angeles to within 1.5 games of the top spot in the Western Conference, and was rewarded with the Western Conference’s Player of the Week award. It’s the third time this season Kobe has taken the honor.
For the week of March 31st through April 6th, Kobe led his team to a 3-0 record while shooting an unreal 69% from three-point range in the wins over Portland, Dallas and Sacramento. He averaged 30.0 points, 9.3 rebounds and 6.0 assists in the three games. Kobe’s best game of the week came against Portland on April 2nd when he threw down a double-double with 36 points and 13 rebounds. He also had seven assists and three steals in the 104-91 win.
Kobe’s game is fine-tuned for the playoff run and rumor is that Kobe might just have a special weapon to take his game to another level for the playoffs.
Check back later this week for details.
