Big buckets in the clutch could earn him a trip from Orlando to New Orleans for his second All-Star Game.
On Jan. 21st, with the score tied at 100 against the Pistons, Orlando got the ball into the hands of their most deadly outside shooter… Rashard Lewis. He dribbled, created space and banked in the 10-foot buzzer-beater for the win – the team’s first win in ten games against Detroit.
Lewis has been making big buckets ever since coming into the league straight out of high school in 1998. Having averaged over 20 points per game the last three years for Seattle, he’s now lighting it up for Orlando in his first season with the team and is a big reason they’re first in the Southeast Division of the Eastern Conference.
Lewis was selected to the 2005 All-Star Game, and with game-winning shots like that against Detroit, he might be on his way to another All-Star appearance.
