Nike women ballers earn all-league honors

Check out who made the honor roll for the 2007 season.

FIRST TEAM
lauren_jackson.jpgLeading the league in scoring (23.8 ppg), rebounding (9.7rpg), defensive rebounding (7.1) and double-doubles (17) was Seattle forward and league MVP, Lauren Jackson. Jackson was selected to the First Team for the fifth year in a row and led the league with 243 points. Becky Hammon also dominated for San Antonio this year, leading the league with 5 apg and coming in second place with 217 points. Phoenix guard and powerhouse Diana Taurasi was also picked for the First Team, topping off her championship season posting 17 points in Game 5 of the finals. Detroit’s Deanna Nolan led her team with 27 points in the final game and finished an incredible season with 16.3 ppg, earning a well deserved place on the First Team.

SECOND TEAM
tamika_catchings.jpgSeasoned vet Tamika Catchings earns first spot for the Second Team after leading the league in steals per game (3.14) and taking her Indiana team to the Eastern Conference finals against Detroit. Connecticut guard Katie Douglas also joins the Second Team with Houston forward Tina Thompson and Minnesota guard Seimone Augustus, who was second in the league in scoring with 22.6 ppg.
