Armintie Price Wins ROY

Chicago’s Armintie Price was rewarded for her excellent play this season with the 2007 Rookie of the Year Award.

Price started all 34 games for Chicago this season and was the big reason Chicago improved from five wins in 2006 to 14 wins in 2007. Armintie Price’s 7.9 points-per-game was third best in the WNBA among rookies, as was her 2.9 assists per game. Despite being a guard, Price also managed to grab 6.0 rebounds a game.

Minnesota’s Lindsey Harding came in second in the Rookie of the Year voting.
