WNBA Postseason 2007: Phoenix Evens The Series 1-1

Diana Taurasi explodes for 30 points in Game 2 Phoenix win.

Phoenix 98, Detroit 70
Diana Taurasi was relatively quiet in the Game 1 loss to Detroit, but she more than made up for it with her super Game 2 performance on Saturday night. Taurasi’s game-high 30 points, to go along with her eight rebounds, was more than enough to give Phoenix the win in Game 2 of the Finals, and tie the series up at 1-1. Phoenix forward Cappie Pondexter also chipped in 18 points. Phoenix was in complete control of the game, at times holding a 34-point lead.

Deanna Nolan had a team-high 12 points in the loss for Detroit. Cheryl Ford returned from injury in Game 2, but played less than half the game. Game 3 of the Finals is Tuesday at 9pm ET in Phoenix.
