With 31 points, five rebounds, six assists and six steals, Kobe earned the game MVP and led the West to a 153-132 victory.

Kobe took charge with the usual assortment of sure shots and monster dunks, including a particularly nice windmill to close out the game. Amare Stoudemire was close behind, getting 29 points and nine rebounds in less than 22 minutes on the court. Shawn Marion also had a nice game, racking up 18 points and 8 rebounds in about the same amount of playing time. Tony Parker had 8 points and 10 assists to help the West get to their team record 52-assist total.
LeBron led the East with 28 points, six rebounds and six assists. Chris Bosh added 11 points and seven rebounds, Jermaine O’Neal had eight points and seven rebounds and Vince Carter chipped in seven points for the squad.
It was Kobe’s second game MVP in the midseason battle of the conferences. His first MVP came in the 2002 game in Philly, where he also picked up 31 points to take the honors. Nice work, Kobe.
