On his inspiration:
Just the challenge to try to be the best player I can. Obviously for me it was a long road, coming from France. It was a dream to play in the league. I finally came through five years ago and it was just amazing for me. Since that point, my life is going so fast I can’t even realize sometimes, winning two championships…it’s just been great. Now the key for me is not being satisfied, trying to get better and better and trying to go as far as I can.

On his fans:
I’m just very proud that all the French people wake up late, like three o’clock in the morning, to watch me play, you know. That’s pretty amazing. Every time I see those people wear my jersey it makes me want to keep working hard, to play well, to make their dreams. You know, maybe one day they want to come play in the league. So that’s what drives me.

On his impact:
It feels good, you know, I work hard to try to get a status, try to get my name known, you know how I play. So I just want to show other young guys how we’re supposed to play basketball. Because on my team we play very unselfish…I think I’m a good example to follow for the young guys because I try to play the right way, try to make good decisions and try to help my teammates. A lot of point guards in the States, sometimes they’re a little bit selfish, you know. So you try to find that balance between scoring and passing, try to make your team happy.

On the future:
I think we can only improve. It’s just gonna get better and better. When you see a guy like LeBron James…he’s looking like he’s 30 already, he’s so strong and so fast. So it just tells you that all the guys coming up, it’s gonna go higher, it’s gonna go faster. So you just have to keep preparing yourself to be ready when the young guys come.
